About Dane DeValcourt

Builder. Collector. Songwriter.

Texas born, Louisiana raised. Dad, lifelong geek, raised country.

I'm Dane DeValcourt — based in Lafayette, Louisiana, where the Cajun half of the family settled and the rest of life caught up. Most days I'm building something: an iOS app I needed and couldn't find, a small business under the Swamp Treasure name, or a song about a moment I couldn't otherwise say out loud. The wordmark ends with a period because so do most things worth saying.

Builder

iOS apps for collectors.

I build software solo with AI-assisted workflows — the same toolkit that makes a one-person studio possible. MeltWatch tracks live spot prices and melt values for US coin collectors. Reliqra is a personal inventory tracker for anything worth keeping — coins, watches, cards, sneakers. Both ship from a small home office in Louisiana and are available on the App Store.

Collector

Coins, by way of Swamp Treasure.

The collecting started with my grandfather's Morgan dollars and never really stopped. Swamp Treasure is the LLC that holds the apps, the coin shop, and the brand — a small operation focused on US coins and silver, with a growing customer base of fellow collectors. It's where the inventory, the products, and the stories live.

Songwriter

Country songs, written down.

I've never been good at journaling. Songwriting gave me the purpose journaling didn't — these songs are how I process things I don't say out loud, accept what was, and keep the good parts intact. It's therapy with an ending. The catalog includes What the Quiet Gave Me, an eight-song album, and standalone singles like Codin' Dirty. I use AI to help bring the music to life, not to replace the story. The words are mine. The memories are mine.
