The frustration
Useful material ends up split between audio recorders, scans, handwritten notebooks, and files with names that made sense only on the day they were created.
The idea
Build one private archive where a recording, a page, and a note can be transcribed, connected, searched, and answered without losing the path back to the source.
Why local-first
The archive can contain conversations, personal writing, and work that does not belong in someone else’s account by default. Local storage is part of the product promise, not a temporary substitute for a server.
The boundary
SageArchive can help retrieve and connect what is present. It should not make unsupported claims when a source is missing, and “local by default” does not mean every optional transcription or model workflow is offline.
Where it stands
SageArchive is a live, for-sale Mac product with a free trial. It is not on the bench and it is not a private prototype.
